It was both historically interesting yet insightful as well, and although there were a few tear jerking moments towards the end of the movie, overall I would recommend any and everyone to see it.”īlack History Month is here and now would be a better time than any, for one to begin gaining more knowledge on the rich history of African Americans.

Even dealing with racial bigotry, they still managed to sell millions of records and become some of the world’s biggest stars.” Lindblom senior Dynasty Williams has seen the movie several times and her beliefs remain static,“The movie was very insightful on the history of African American music. In order to get more intuition of the movie, I decided to ask a couple of people what they thought of it. They were slowly yet effectively diminishing segregation. What I really enjoyed most about the movie would be the constant drive for wanting change, not only in how people perceive music but the power of what it can do, and how African Americans are the ones doing that. Everything about it spoke words to me from the unconditional love between characters, to the powerful and emotional lyrics behind the songs of each artist. I believe that this movie is spectacular.
Unfortunately, the wealth and fame had gotten to each one of them in different ways causing them to suffer their own amount of hardships, but in the end it was all about making good music that would sell no matter the cost. All artist managed to top charts and make an abundance of money. Along the way he managed to acquire the six hottest artists in the 1950’s, which included Muddy Waters (Jeffrey Wright), Little Walter (Columbus Short), Howlin’ Wolf (Eamonn Walker), Etta James (Beyonce Knowles), Willie Dixon (Cedric the Entertainer) and Chuck Berry (Mos Def).
